Few days ago, an issue regarding the disqualification of Atty Quimbo has circulated. Basically, it was talking about the residency of Atty. Quimbo as allegations that he was actually residing in QC has buzzed around. To enlighten our people, the residency requirement in our Constitution speaks of domicile and not actual residence. It does not matter whether or not Atty Quimbo actually resides in Marikina. The fact is, Atty Quimbo is domiciled in Marikina. Domicile is different from residency and it is not actual residency that the law contemplates.. Kaya sa mga gustong manira, pwedeng magbasa muna kayo ng batas at ng decisions ng SC bago kayo magsalita. We are all forces for Atty. Quimbo. He wins the elections tomorrow.
